The 2016 Agriculture Tent sponsored by the Medina County Farm Bureau, Farm Credit Services and the Medina County Agricultural Society was part of the family entertainment area located at the south end of the fairgrounds near the Community Center.
This year’s hands-on activities included a mechanical cow, steer roping, a corn box, sheep, a baby calf and baby chicks. Displays highlighted farm fact posters, photo cut-out boards, Grandpa Cratchet puppet shows and a new scavenger hunt as well as the recently renovated Young Farmers building.
Each evening an area farm family greeted visitors: the Keller family (Liverpool); the Kovalik family (Harrisville); the Boyert family (Montville); the Garrison and Rupp families (Guilford); the Arters family (Chatham); the Richardson family (Lafayette); and the Farnsworth family (Montville).
We are looking forward to next year and anticipating even more family fun activities.
