Medina County Farm Bureau is pleased to announce its 2022 scholarship recipients:
Bethany Baker– Bethany is the daughter of Robert and Donna Baker and is a 2020 graduate of Wadsworth High School. She is currently attending The Ohio State University studying Mechanical Engineering Pre-Major. Bethany has an anticipated graduation date of May 2024. “I hope to one day work for a company that in some way supports agriculture with new technology or go off on my own to find a solution to make a process more efficient for small farmers so that they can continue to expand their business.” Best wishes Bethany!
Lauren Cifronic– Lauren is the daughter of Patti and Greg Cifronic is a 2020 graduate from Highland High School. She currently working towards a Bachelor of Civil Engineering with a concentration in Environmental Engineering. “Once I graduate I intend to use my degree in a way that will help the environment and the future of our planet. With this degree I would be able to go in many directions from water resources to renewable energy. My college offers help and resources in finding summer internships while in school, so I plan on using those resources to help me find the exact direction that I wish to take my career.” Good luck Lauren!
Taylor Csanyi– Taylor is the daughter of Thomas Csanyi Jr. and is a 2022 graduate of Highland High School. She plans to study biomedical engineering, on the premed track, with a minor in Spanish and business at either Miami University or Ohio State. “I came across biomedical engineering and it interested me because you create devices that are compatible with the human body. It has a wide range of careers, anything to improve technology for medical school students, to creating materials to mimic the feel of skin. After my undergrad, I plan to attend medical school to become an orthopedic surgeon.” Congrats Taylor!
Chloee Howard– Chloee is the daughter of PJ and Christina Howard and is a 2022 graduate of Black River High School. She will be attending The Ohio State University- Agricultural Technical Institute in Wooster in the fall. Chloee intends to major in animal science with a minor in agriculture communications. After her first year of college Chloee intends to apply to the early decision veterinary program with The Ohio State University. This will hold a spot for her to attend veterinary school after her undergraduate degree has been earned. Best of luck Chloee!
Cody Walther– Cody is the son of James and Colleen Walther and is currently studying to be a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine at The Ohio State University’s College of Veterinary Medicine with an expected graduation date of May 2023. “Entering into my last year of school at The Ohio State College of Veterinary Medicine, I am beyond ready to get started working as a veterinarian. Upon graduation my goal is to be a large animal practitioner interactive in the Medina County agricultural community striving to help my clients reach their goals. Upon graduation, I also plan to continue to farm with my brother striving to become more efficient in both sides of our operation, forage and beef production.” Good luck Cody!
