Medina County Farm Bureau is pleased to announce its 2026 scholarship recipients:

 

 

Alan Kronk– Alan is the son of Susan and Greg Kronk of Medina and is a 2026 graduate of Medina High School. Alan plans to pursue a degree in horticulture. “I am especially interested in being part of this next generation of agricultural leaders. I hope to apply my education and passion to not only grow within the field of horticulture, but also contribute to sustaining family farms.”

Interesting fact: In addition to horticulture, Alan is a musician and is active within Symphony Orchestra, Chamber Orchestra and String Orchestra.

 

 

Chloee Howard – Chloee is the daughter of PJ and Christina Howard of Spencer. She currently attends The Ohio State University. Chloee anticipates graduating with a degree in Agricultural
Engineering with a specialization in Ecology in May 2027.

Interesting fact: Chloee served as an Ohio FFA State Officer from May 2023-2024 and had the opportunity to travel to Australia to learn about agricultural sustainability practices.

 

 

 

 

 

Peter Howard– Peter is the son of PJ and Christina Howard of Spencer and is a 2026 graduate of Black River High School/ Medina County Career Center. Peter plans to build on the skills he has learned in the Medina County Career Center Diesel Mechanics program “preparing for a career that directly supports the success and sustainability of Ohio’s farming operations.”

Interesting fact: Peter exhibited the Grand Champion Lorain County Market Hog in 2020 and 2023.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Taylor Csanyi– Taylor is the daughter of Tom and Jen Csanyi of Medina. She currently attends The Ohio State University studying Health Sciences and Engineering Sciences. Her anticipated graduation date is May 2027.

Interesting fact: Taylor co-founded “Palette Pals” which is an OSU club that fosters inclusivity by bringing together students and individuals with developmental disabilities through painting nights.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Cam Landes– Cam is the son of Jeremy and Wendy Landes of Medina and is a 2026 graduate of Buckeye High School. Cam plans to attend Bowling Green State University and study Business Analytics.

Interesting fact: Cam received a 4-Year First Team All-Academic Award.

 

 

 

 

 

Seth Hummel – Seth is the son of Stephen and Katie Hummel of Medina and a 2025 graduate of Highland High School. Seth currently attends The Ohio State University majoring in Agribusiness and Applied Economics with a minor in Agronomy.

Interesting fact: Seth completed a study abroad experience last December (Agriculture in the Dominican Republic).

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Case Hummel– Case is the son of Stephen and Katie Hummel of Medina. Case currently attends Ferris State University in Big Rapids, MI and studies Welding Engineering Technology with a minor in Leadership and Project Management. His anticipated graduation date is May 2028.

Interesting fact: Case was the overall winner of the welding competition at the Ohio State Fair in 2023 and 2024.
