The Black River FFA Chapter annual Chili Cookoff is an event that truly brings out the “best of the best” when it comes to chili. Five FFA members armed with home-cooked pots of spicy, sweet and original recipes participated in the competition. After everyone had a chance to sample the different types and vote, the top three were granted the “People’s Choice” awards.
Congratulations to the first through third place winners; Brianna Englehart, Jeffrey Owen, and Cori and Callee Aviles. The members earned an FFA coffee cup for their participation. In addition to the winners, the following FFA members also attended the event: Eric Cordonnier, Hannah Abfall, Shay Ladina, Hope Diaz, Rebecca Stroud and Joey Duche.
