Brad Indoe, $2000
Brad is the son of Tom and Debbie Indoe of Lodi and is a graduate of Cloverleaf Senior High School, class of 2001. He currently attends Kent State University in Ashtabula and majors in Enology. Brad is a member of the Ohio Grape Growers Association and volunteers at the OARDC research vineyard. Brad has also been a long-time volunteer at the annual Season’s Harvest fundraiser organized by Medina County Farm Bureau. Brad’s goal is grow his own grape vineyard and become a professional winemaker. Good luck Brad!
Rachel Berrey, $1500
Rachel is the daughter of Marty and Teresa Berrey and graduated from Grace Prep School in Spring 2015. She currently attends Iowa State University and plans to graduate with a degree in Agricultural Engineering in May 2019. While at Iowa State, Rachel has participated in the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers, where she currently serves as President. Rachel also volunteers as an Ohio 4-H Medina County Still Exhibits Committee member and Wadsworth Bears 4-H Club advisor. After attaining her Professional Engineer status, Rachel’s goal is to become a consulting engineer that works with local farmers to reduce inefficiencies and maximize margins. Congratulations Rachel!
Alexis Zgrabik, $1000
Alexis is the daughter of Michael and Kelly Zgrabik of Seville and will be graduating from the Medina County Career Center this spring. In the fall, Alexis will attend Black Hawk College- East Campus and major in Agriculture Education. While in high school, Alexis participated in FFA, 4-H, Junior Fair Board, and served as the Cloverleaf Class of 2018 Secretary. In the future, Alexis’s career goal is to earn a master’s degree and teach agriculture in a high school classroom or as a 4-H Extension Educator. Alexis also hopes to continue supporting the 4-H program in Medina County by producing show stock for 4-H exhibitors and by being a part of the Senior Fair Board. Good luck Alexis!
Rachel Ewald, $1000
Rachel is the daughter of Rhonda Ewald and Mike Juszczyk of Litchfield and graduated from Buckeye High School in 2016. Rachel currently attends the University of Findlay where she majors in Animal Science. While in college, Rachel has been involved with Collegiate FFA, Block & Bridle, the University’s Cattle Show Team, Dive Club, and Truck Club. After graduation, Rachel hopes to secure a position serving an agricultural supply company and join their sales or marketing team. Congratulations Rachel!
Cody Walther, $500
Cody is the son of James and Colleen Walther of Litchfield and is a 2015 graduate of Cloverleaf High School. Scheduled to graduate in December 2018, Cody will earn a bachelor’s in Animal Science from the University of Findlay. While at University of Findlay, Cody has been involved with Collegiate FFA, Pre-Vet Club, and the University’s Cattle Show Team. After graduation in December, Cody plans to continue his education by obtaining a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine. Cody’s eventual goal is to return to Medina County and serve as a large animal vet focusing on equine and other livestock. Good luck Cody!
Emily Klotzsche, $500
Emily is the daughter of Ben and Celeste Klotzsche of Lodi and graduated from Cloverleaf High School in 2015. Emily will be graduating in 2019 with a Bachelors of Science in Nursing from the University of Akron. Emily has helped at various Medina County Farm Bureau functions including serving at the 2014 Season’s Harvest dinner, volunteering at the 2017 Fall Foliage Tour, and attending the 2017 annual meeting. Emily’s goal is to work as a registered nurse and, eventually, with pediatric oncology patients. Emily plans to stay involved in agriculture by helping with her grandparent’s farm and maintaining a small herd of show cattle and Boer goats. Congratulations Emily!
Tate Arters, $500
Tate is the son of Steve and Susan Arters of Spencer and graduated from Cloverleaf High School in 2014. Tate earned an Associate’s degree from Black Hawk East in 2016 and will graduate in December 2018 with a Bachelor’s degree in Animal Sciences from The Ohio State University. Tate has volunteered at Medina County Farm Bureau’s Agriculture Acre tent at the Medina County Fair as well as helped to host the Leadership Medina’s Ag Day on his family’s farm. After graduation, Tate’s goal is to continue farming with his family and to develop a premier show pig breeding business. Good luck Tate!
